VNR Group

VNR Group is an internationally active, family-run corporate group based in Bonn with more than 45 years of tradition in specialist publishing and digital business. It offers expertise, digital solutions, SaaS platforms, and full-service publishing for professional audiences across several countries.

Starting Point & Objective

As a brand with a broad portfolio spanning specialist publishing, digital services, and innovative platform solutions, VNR Group's visual presence had become fragmented and lacked a unified perception.

To build a strong, internationally legible brand image, a clear, consistent identity needed to be developed — one that would bring the group's diversity together while supporting its strategic positioning as a solutions and knowledge provider.

The central requirement was to redesign the existing logo so it would work in an international context.

Rebranding

Focused on creating a unified visual language, I accompanied the project as brand identity designer from concept through to execution.

I developed a new logo system that makes clarity, professionalism, and the connectedness of all the group's units visible.

Building on that, a holistic corporate identity system emerged — with a defined color palette, typography, and modular design elements that work consistently across both print and digital applications.

The brand values were translated into a visually flexible system that scales across international use cases, different media formats, and diverse applications.

The solution strengthens its presence as a connected knowledge and solutions provider, boosts recognizability, and enables clear visual communication across all business units.
